Association for Education and Human Rights
Our Story · Since 2021

Protecting the right to learn.

On the front lines — often invisibly — defending education, dignity and human rights for women and girls in Afghanistan.

It began when the classroom disappeared.

In 2021, we began as SRAKAF , responding to the closure of secondary schools to girls across Afghanistan. What started as home-based education grew into a network of learning spaces reaching girls and women who had been pushed out of the formal education system.

INVISIBLES education programme in Afghanistan

For five years, learning has continued beyond closed doors.

Through home-based schools, literacy programmes and skills development, women and girls continue to learn, create, earn and remain connected to their communities.

Today, INVISIBLES works beyond education — helping women build livelihoods, providing legal assistance to those facing detention, and supporting girls and women experiencing trauma as they reconnect with their lives and futures.
